ATTN: PERTH BANDS [20 May 2009|06:42pm]

Are you in a Perth band with recorded tracks that are ready for a film clip?  Do you know someone who is?

I am looking to make a film clip for a Perth band on a very limited budget.  I will provide my services for free, it will be amateur, but I believe it has the capacity to be mutually beneficial (ie. - I have a music video to add to my portfolio, the band has a music video shot and edited for free).

If you or someone you know may be interested, please get in touch.  Feel free to direct message me, or leave your contact details in the comments and I'll be in touch.

Thanks in advance!

Snog -

The Last Days Of Rome EP CD
Just when you thought contemporary music had nothing new and exciting to offer here come SNOG to save the day!!!
'The Last Days of Rome' is the new SNOG single (and the first single from the forthcoming album of the same name). The Last Days of Rome is dark, powerful and totally catchy, a sleek meaningful beast. Produced by The Calculators (The Faint, Adalita and many others) and featuring the sweet voice of Mr. Royce Doherty, the collapse of civilization has never been this groovey before!
Party like it's 699A.D!!!

It's a wide open road [17 Aug 2007|11:51pm]

I have created a community dedicated to the late great Perth band The Triffids. Maybe some of you might be interested. There's not much there yet but hopefully it'll develop into something more than just my self-indulgent ramblings.

Spotted around Perth? [15 May 2007|07:54pm]

I saw the performance of Swan Lake on the weekend and was wondering if anyone has seen any of the posters for it around anywhere? I want a copy but can't find any for sale. I have a vague memory of seeing them around somewhere. I figure now that the performances are over there is no harm stealing one from a wall somewhere.

Can I remind everyone that this is a fucking music community.

If I wanted fashion I'd read Vogue, if I wanted a secondhand mattress I'd buy the fucking quokka...

I will continue to delete non-music related entries.

Don't waste my time (or your time). Stay on topic.

Music. Yeah? Okay.

murder made sexy [07 May 2007|04:50pm]

Fear of Comedy will be coming at you from all sides this month as they gear up for the release of their debut LP "Murder Made Sexy"!

Fear of Comedy have been scaring the bejesus out of you for the past two years, playing shows mercilessly across the metropolitan area and leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

"Murder Made Sexy" is the first official recording to be released by these masters of ‘survival horror’ and it promises to be a real killer.
The eight tracks on the album are an unrelenting tour de force, cutting a swathe across the musical spectrum. The band’s genre-bending avant-punk will make you laugh, make you cry, but most of all make you bleed.

You can help Fear of Comedy celebrate the release of "Murder Made Sexy" at their CD launch on Saturday 26th May at The Bakery, James Street Northbridge, from 8pm to 2am. Joining Fear of Comedy on stage will be Tomas Ford, Mile End, The Macarburettors, Capital City and the Fear of DJ’s. Tickets are $11 through Planet Video, or $12 on the night (a little more with CD). Be there or be dead.

Visit us at www.myspace.com/fearofcomedy.

p.s : buy presale, and we'll love you forever. and you won't have to die horribly.
